Participation at the EARLI SIG 15 Conference

Some members of the ProKoulu/Provaka research and development team participated in the EARLI SIG 15 Conference. The event was held at the University of Helsinki on 17-19 August 2026.

The conference invited reflections on how methodological approaches can serve as bridges to special education needs. The event brought together researchers, experts, and practitioners to discuss current research and developments in the field.

At the conference, Henrik Husberg presented research from the ILS3-SR project. The title for the paper was “Collaborative Consultation in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC): Effectiveness, Usability and Participant Experiences of Hurtig (Tomera)” (Husberg, H., Borgström, A., Sjöström, C., Heiskanen, N., & Paananen, M.).

During our participation at the EARLI SIG15 Conference we had the opportunity of attending numerous inspiring presentations on current research topics. We also had many engaging and fruitful discussions with researchers and experts from different countries. The conference gave us new perspectives and valuable connections to support the ongoing development of ProKoulu/ProVaka.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks for our participation at the EARLI SIG15 Conference to the organisers. The event was a joy to attend! We’re very grateful also to our funders, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, the foundation Brita Maria Renlunds minne sr., and SFV, for making our participation possible.
